1. ASYMMETRICAL, A PONYTAIL ASIDE
A girly hairstyle, perfect both for an important party, as well as for everyday occasions. It suits every woman, regardless of their beauty type. Diane Kruger, Demi Moore, Kendall Jenner – they all love it. In a casual edition a pony tail can be treated with fingers, in the glamour– combed smoothly. Anyway, you’ll always look sensual in such a hairstyle – as if you’ve just put your hair aside to show your neck 😉 To create it you need volume increasing foam, a comb with widely placed needles to backcomb your hair, and a thin rubber. If you also cover it with a strand of your hair – it’ll be more elegant. You can curly your hair using a curler, or braid it loosely, leaving a few strands on your face. Put a bit of hairspray on top, or use spray wax (THIS one, for example) or matte paste (THIS one, for example) – depending on what you want to achieve. Such a hairstyle makes you want to experiment 😉 You can always go for Blake Lively’s style, and instead of putting a traditional necklace on, pin a decorative brooch in your uncovered part of neckline.

2. WAVY ENDINGS, MODERN CLASS
The beloved hairstyle of Victoria’s Secret models, and Kate Beckinsale. Must haves? Long, well taken care of hair, and quite a lot of shining spray 😉 It’s sexy, loose, and guarantees flawless image even after having spent long hours on the dancefloor. It reminds seaside waves, and a sexy “I woke up like this” look 😉 Go for it, if your face is oval or triangular or want to hide your too expressive jawline. Remember that the waves will cover your shoulders – try to keep the top of the dress as simple as possible. Try to resign from the ones with bows, and with embellished collars. You can easily create this hairstyle at home, on your own. Instead of spending money on a hairdresser, invest in a good quality ceramic curler 😉 Wash your hair, dry it, put on a specific that protects your hair from hot temperatures (THIS one, for example). Now curly your hair around the hot curler, and separate gently with your fingers. Use hairspray and a lustering product. You can also experiment with rollers – 3-4 cm ones would be the best ones (they heat up quickly while drying your hair) or curling irons. If your hair starts to straighten up during a party, put on a bit of foam that makes your curls look more visible –THIS one, for example. Or just tie a ponytail… on a side 😀

3. GLAMOUR WAVES, OLD HOLLYWOOD STYLE
The hairstyle has been extremely popular ever since it’s been made famous in the 40s by a Hollywood star, Veronica Lake. Well taken care of waves, tied above one of the ears are associated with luxury and elegance. Stylists haven’t yet come up with a more feminine look! Despite appearances, it doesn’t suit only classic beauties: it goes well with Beyonce’s curves, eases Hilary Swank’s facial lines, and can even change the crazy Rihanna into a lady 😉 The hairstyle will surely be loved by these of you who don’t have too much hair – when you put all of it aside, you start believing there’s more of them than in reality 😉 You can also expose your splendorous earrings (Jessica Chestain), or a fancy necklace (Natasha Poly). I love pinning a decorative comb-pin in the shape of a leaf into a hairstyle like that 😉 Remember that this type of waves would look best with a night gown, or an elegant jumpsuit. If you want the outcome to be dazzling, and the hairstyle not to change into an uncontrolled mass of curls, you’d better visit a trusted hairdresser before a party. A specialist will smooth the surface of your hair and will give a proper shape to your waves.

4. FRENCH BUN, CLASS ITSELF
A so called “banana”, namely a French bun has been a real hit among party hairstyles for a few years now. It’s flattering, and, despite appearances, not that difficult to make. You can practice with Youtube – you’ll find plenty of tutorials, where they tell you step by step how to create such an updo (at Oriflame’s channel, for example). If your hair still keeps falling, ask your mum, or a friend for help, or just… visit a professional 😉 The one that I’m wearing has been upgraded by Hair By Korzeniowska with a crossover of separate strands. It’s an effective solution, just for a real lady 😀 You can also ask your hairdresser for a different, more complicated version of the so called “banana”. Well, there are plenty of versions of this hairstyle anyway. If your head is small, and of harmonic feature, just like Natalie Portman, or Kate Bosworth, go for a high and smooth updo. If you don’t want to make your oval facial features look even longer, just like Lauren Conrad use a low loose bun. Such a hairstyle uncovers your neck and neckline, so it’d look good with a bodice strapless dress (like Karlie Kloss). 5. RETRO WAVES, A COMEBACK OF THE GREAT GATSBY
Finger waves have been extremely popular in the 20s and 30s. Short, or shoulder length hair, waved in a characteristic waves have been worn by all the movie stars of those times, including Mary Brian and Pola Negri. They’ve never become passé – up to now women all around the world keep reaching for them, if they want to be chic 😉 Vanessa Hudgens, Katie Perry, or even Kim Kardashian wore this hairstyle. It’s a perfect solution for big parties. It looks especially good accompanied by shiny textures, sequins, and 20s like cuts – frilled dresses with low waist. You’ll find inspiration in The Great Gatsby, and Downton Abbey. You can wear finger waves when your hair is short, and even quite long (I’m the perfect example :D). Making this hairstyle in the traditional way was about “pleating” the strands – making the waves with your fingers and a comb. You need a lot of patience and handy hands. If you don’t wanna try, or spend money on a hairdresser, get a curler that was created especially for this – BaByliss Curl Secret – I had my waves done exactly with this one! 😉

6. A ROLLER, TEMPORARY BOB
A perfect solution for those who aren’t brave enough to cut their hair, but wanna check a bob out 😉 Audrey Hepburn wore her hair like that in the 50s, and recently it’s been enjoyed by Emma Watson and Jessica Alba. Polish stars also went for the look: Doda, Natalia Siwiec, and Joanna Krupa. No Wonder! Such a hairstyle is a perfect compliment to your facial features, as it evens the proportions, and makes your neck look longer. On top of that it enables you to change EVERYTHING just in a little while 😀 The stars have also fallen in love with an „everyday” version of this hairstyle, the so called „turtleneck hair. To achieve that, they put long hair into their turtlenecks, and make them look like a traditional bob. That’s how Tory Burches, and BCBG’s models wore their hair. You have to admit that it’s the perfect way to use this winter sweater that you hate in a creative way? 😉 Going on an important party, you can either go for the „smooth version”, or a bit more creative – wavy hair. Making such a fake bob will only take you a few minutes! All you need to do is divide your hair into two parts: wrap the upper one up and pin it (creating a so called “spinning top”), and put the lower one in the middle. Remember to apply a lot of hairspray, and voila! Now you can focus on choosing the most dazzling earrings from your collection 😉

7. ROMANTIC ROLLS
A definitely more girly updo than a classic bun, but effective enough to choose it for an elegant occasion. It refreshes your image, and has better anti-aging properties than the best cream 😉 It kindda reminds the a la bob updo, but in this case the hair is wrapped the other way round. Keira Knightley goes for this hairstyle very often – and she knows what she’s doing, as the hairstyle smoothens her jaw line. You can go for a loose updo right above your neck (look at Kate Middleton) or tightly rolled hair, just like Sienna Miller’s. What would you say to a so called “bucket” out of French braids? Just as I did, you can put a shiny hairband, or decorative stilettos on, or go for splendor earrings, just as Cheryl Cole did. Be glamour! This hairstyle will be a perfect choice especially for these of you, whose hair is thick. Wrapped this way, it’ll look gracefully both in a romantic (like in Keira’s case) edition, as well as a modern one (Zoe Saldana). My tip: before making a hairdresser’s appointment, try to do them on your own. It really is way more easy than you think! 😉

8. SOMETHING EXTRA, HAIR JEWELRY
Hair trinkets are back on top. Luckily, as they can change the easiest hairstyle into a masterpiece, and add chic and mystery to the look at the same time 😉 Women always have liked decorating their hair with trinkets. In ancient Egypt, Cleopatra’s collection was full of gold, and expensive stones (you must watch the Elizabeth Taylor movie!), women in China would braid strings of jewels and flowers into their hair, and in Reneissance women would put nets with pearls on their buns. Today Kim Kardashian accentuates her everyday look by putting a hair chain on, and Florence Welch wears it with an evening dress. Vanessa Hudgens is a true fan of such jewelry. Get inspired by her idea and pick a boho style dress – airy, chiffon, frilled. That’s what, for example, Nicole Richie wears. If you prefer more modern looks, just like Lola Monroe, go for a satin, asymmetric dress of a saturated color. A delicate chain would look best on smoothly combed hair. You’ll find it, for example, on Allegro, or Asos.com. If you like spectacular solutions, have a look at Rihannas, and Zendaya Coleman’s Met Gala pics. They’re real trendsetters!

Tamaro, Jak dobrze wyprostować włosy aby trzymały się całe wesele? nie wiem czy iść do fryzjera czy samemu, po prostu też nie lubię chodzić do fryzjera 🙂
Darinka, można samemu, ale trzeba wspomóc się odpowiednimi środkami do stylizacji, czyli najlepiej profesjonalnymi kosmetykami, które prostują nasze włosy i utrzymują na długo ten efekt. W połączeniu z niezawodnym lakierem do włosów powinno być okej 🙂 Niestety wszystko zależy od struktury naszego włosa, jeśli mają one tendencję do falowania i puszenia się, to w połączeniu z wysoką temperaturą jaka panuje na weselu po kilku godzinach może nie być już takiego idealnego efektu. Także sama musisz sobie odpowiedzieć na pytanie, co sprawdza się u Ciebie najlepiej. A jeśli chodzi o samo prostowanie, to na idealne nie ma innej rady – pasmo po paśmie trzeba przejechać prostownicą, a potem utrwalić wspomnianymi kosmetykami. Nic trudnego! Ale i fryzjer szybko sobie z tym poradzi 🙂
