Princesses all around the world (not only the real ones) owe their chic to… one man 😉 Joseph Maria Jacquard did a service to the world of fashion by coming up with a machine to manufacture colorful patterned textiles in 1805. Jaquard, characteristic for convex metallic thread patterns on a plain, one-color background only gained with the flow of time. Contemporary elegant women (Michelle Obama, for example) reach for it as often as the 19th century fashionistas. Most eagerly, when they have a special occasion coming, a one that needs a royal arrangement 😉 The dress that I’m wearing draws the eye by the noble combination of deep cobalt with gold. The neckline, showing the shoulders and visibly accentuated waistline refer to Romanticism, and make every figure look like a perfect hourglass 😉 My look is far from a London Victoria and Albert Museum exhibit – its modern character is provided by its up to the knees length, and carefully chosen accessories. The glittery stilettos give the look a clubbing touch, and the male watch makes sure that I don’t travel in time. My embellished earrings are a bow towards witty Moschino like luxury. Put on the top, a simple red coat is a very useful solution. It’ll team the romantic soul of the look, and you’ll get to the ball without causing a sensation on the street 😀 Take that into account, while creating your prom and carnival looks!
